Redphlag was founded in 2008 by Gerard "Gerry" F. Corbett. Gerry also runs an executive and career coaching practice, is a blogger on career development and job search and serves on the Board of Advisors of Artificial IntelligenceI firm Infinite Retina and the Museum of Public Relations. Previously, he was an instructor in the Entrepreneurship Program at UC Berkeley Extension, CMO and a Member of the Board of Producers Forum, Inc. and Vice President and General Manager of the Branding and Corporate Communications Group of $100 billion Hitachi, Ltd.
Gerry also served in PR and communications leadership roles with Loral Corporation, ASARCO Incorporated, Gould Inc. and International Harvester Company. He previously was a senior account executive for the public relations firm of Creamer Dickson Basford in Providence, Rhode Island and for nine years he was in engineering and computer science, serving as a senior technical writer for Four Phase Systems, Inc. and National Semiconductor Corporation, and a scientific programmer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Mountain View, Calif.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gerry has a Bachelors of Arts degree in public relations from San Jose State University, San Jose, California, and an Associates of Arts with a major in electronics engineering from the Community College of Philadelphia. Gerry is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and served as Chair and CEO of the organization in 2012 and is a member of its prestigious College of Fellows.
